The Summer of YES! You Are the Permission.
Read time: ~4 Minutes
If you’ve ever felt guilty for putting yourself first, this one’s for you.
We’re conditioned from a young age to be agreeable. To people-please. To be team players, caregivers, and overachievers. To show up, even when we’re running on empty.
And while there’s beauty in being dependable, there’s something radically bold about learning to be dependable to yourself first.

This summer, I’m calling in a Summer of YES!
A season of unapologetically choosing you. Not from ego, but from alignment. Not from defiance, but from deep trust. It’s a reclamation of your time, energy, boundaries, and voice.
This summer, we’re saying:
✅ Yes to rest without guilt
✅ Yes to risk without explanation
✅ Yes to your own damn timeline without comparison
Saying yes to yourself might not look revolutionary from the outside, but it is.
It might look like:
Choosing solitude over social pressure.
In a world that’s always pushing us to be “on,” it’s okay to retreat. It’s okay to say no to social obligations that drain you, even when you’re tempted to keep up with everyone else. Solitude isn’t loneliness; it’s a space where you can reconnect with yourself and listen to what you truly need.
Prioritizing your health: mental, emotional, and physical.
Your well-being is the foundation from which everything else flows. Saying YES to yourself means carving out time for the things that restore you. Whether it’s a workout, a quiet moment of meditation, or simply getting the sleep you need to feel whole. You deserve to feel good, not just survive.
Saying yes to that career pivot, creative idea, or that plane ticket you’ve been thinking about for months.
Too often, we push aside our dreams or desires in favor of stability or the approval of others. But when you say YES to the things that excite you, whether it’s pursuing a new project, launching a business, or just taking a trip, you’re choosing growth. You’re stepping into the unknown with faith in yourself.
Reclaiming your time, energy, and attention as sacred resources.
In our fast-paced world, we’re often bombarded with demands on our time. Saying YES to yourself is about setting boundaries and respecting your own limits. It’s about saying no when necessary and protecting your energy so you can pour from a full cup.

It’s easy to associate “living boldly” with the loud, spotlight moments, such as big wins, public celebrations, and epic risks. But often, the boldest thing you can do is listen to that quiet inner nudge and follow it, even when no one else understands.
Living and working boldly is about aligned decisions, not just brave ones. So this week, I’m inviting you to join me in a small but powerful practice. Choose one thing that:
1. Scares you a little
2. Excites you a lot
3. Comes from a deep, intuitive yes
Let that be your compass. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for honoring yourself, and you certainly don’t need permission.
You are the permission. (Take that!)

This summer, say yes to you. Loudly, quietly, imperfectly, and fully. That’s what it means to live boldly.
Your Summer of YES! starts now.
