1. Active and attentive listening
2. Be clear and concise. Remember the KISS acronym: Keep It Simple!
3. Adapt to your audience.
4. Be mindful of non-verbal communication. Check yourself for eye-rolls and things that will throw off good communication.
5. Be mature with your emotions. Do not react defensively. Take a pause. And remember, it’s probably not personal.
