In this episode, Sara talks about Consistency. How can we be consistent in our own lives to build our goals, when we are pulled in so many directions?
Sara gives us some tips for making consistency work for us:
- Be clear on your goals. Designate what you want to achieve for Q1, Q2, etc. She is an advocate of smaller goals. Don’t start with goals for 3 years. Stick with the first quarter of the year, next quarter, etc. Ask what success looks like. What do you want to achieve? We often want it all NOW, which isn’t helpful. Slow and steady wins the race.
- Develop routines and systems. Block scheduling works well for Sara. She looks at emails, then exercises, etc, all in 2-hour blocks.
- Communicate and Reinforce your expectations. Say what you need to yourself and to others. Set agreements with them. Let them know what you need to do, and what you may not be there for. Agreements work both ways to feel clear- and help others and yourself be supportive through the process.
